Country Club Of Miami
Country Club of Miami is comprised of two beautifully manicured Florida
golf courses, with lush fairways, newly re-grassed greens and 36
championship holes. A Robert Trent Jones design, the club was founded in
1961, with Arnold Palmer as its first professional. As Country Club’s
most famous member and resident, comedian-actor Jackie Gleason played
host to celebrity golfers including Bob Hope and Bing Crosby. Jack
Nicklaus played his first professional tournament and Lee Trevino won
his fourth professional at the club. They have done a good job at restoring the country clubs image and
quality over the last few months and it shows. The driving range is deep
and has plenty of stations positioned to practice off of real turf to
simulate real playing conditions. In addition, they have a fantastic 9
hole chipping and putting practice area which no other facility can
match right now. Also, the price to practice and play are very
reasonable especially in the twilight hours. 4 stars for the edge
dictated by the practice facilities and not to mention Miami famous
sports grill in the clubhouse. Please read my separate review for the
grille!
