Shurlok
Shur-Lok
Company was
founded in Los Angeles, California in 1951 by Frederick W. Rohé and
remains a private concern today. Although no longer involved in the daily
operation of the business, the company's dominance in its key product lines
is due in large part to early patents awarded to Frederick W. Rohé. From this one-man embryonic beginning, Shur-Lok has expanded into a worldwide
organization, with headquarters in Irvine, California and an independent
affiliate, Shur-Lok International S.A., based in Belgium. Over the years,
Shur-Lok has helped give birth to other fine organizations, including Rohé
Scientific Corporation, a supplier of ultrasonic diagnostic equipment for
health care; Shurtronics Corporation, an early pioneer of nondestructive
testing equipment; and a Belgian manufacturer of control rods for aircraft.
Shur-Lok has built a solid reputation as a leader in fastener innovation
for high technology industries. The company's focus is strongly on aerospace,
an area where Shur-Lok has demonstrated exceptional problem-solving expertise,
developing thousands of proprietary aerospace fastener designs, many of
which have become industry standards.
